How to get started with Debian

So you want to get started with Linux? In my humble opinion Debian is by far the best and easiest version to use. Its secure out of the box and makes installing packages easier and more efficient then compiling them from the source code.

Visit http://www.us.debian.org/ and you will get to the home page. I would suggest downloading the minimum net install http://www.us.debian.org/CD/netinst/

burn the CD put it in your computer and let er rip. Just accept all the default prompts when installing the software.
