I have to go with Debian. Although my experience with Linux is limited, it is growing daily with my Debian use. I work with a few other distros including Fedora Core, FreeBSD, Irix, Red Hat 7.2, and VXWorks and they don't even compare as far as package handling and installation. I have dabbled with Ubuntu and Kubuntu, but I don't like the way you can't work as root in those 2 distros. The Knoppix live cd works great if you want to get a taste of linux without installing anything. I have also used a distro called Astrumi, but it was strictly used for XP password recovery. I have to say that I love Debian, and I can't wait for their next stable release (etch) to be released. Maybe they'll include some more wireless support, like madwifi!
