When i ran AntiVir virus software it brought up SPR/Rootkit.XCP.B.5 and deleted it. I searched the net to find out more but i couldn't find anything. Since then I downloaded UnHackMe software to search for hidden trojans but it hasn't found anything since.
Does anyone know?
exchange database corruption repair tips.
Submitted by admin on Wed, 2005-09-07 22:08. Communications | Microsoft Exchange 2003 ServerIn this article, i will talk about how to restore an exchange database from one server to another. To get started, you have two computers one old one with the exchange database that you wish to move, and one new one with a brand new fresh os just waiting to go. You have already installed exchange server on both computers and copied the database (MDB Databases) over to the new computer.
The first step i had to do was rename and move all the default exchange stores. To do this, go into the system manager, under SERVERS-> FIRST STORAGE GROUP->MAIL BOX STORE. Rightclick on this and hit dismount. Do this for the public store as well. This will allow you to rename and move the store so you can put the backup store in its place.
Installing Exchange Server 2003 (versus Exchange Server 2000)
Submitted by admin on Wed, 2005-09-07 13:05. Communications | Microsoft Exchange 2003 ServerIn this article I will review installing Microsoft exchange server 2003 and then importing a database from another server.
All in all, the install is going exactly as it did with 2000 server. If anything, I would say that the install is a little easier, more informed and ran smoother then the 2000 version.
One nice add-on that was not in the 2000 version is the nice little checklist installer that you go through to install it. Basically it tells you the major steps to perform and even gives you a hint at how to accomplish this task. This level of support was only available by spending hours digging through some Microsoft tech board looking for that one article that tells you how to do this. Bravo Microsoft for taking something that extra step to make it easy to install your email server.
