Magellan eXplorist 400 handheld GPS
Submitted by byo71 on Thu, 2005-12-01 02:59. Communications | Handheld / Small Computing DevicesI got this new GPS unit. Its great. It has a rechargable battery that i haven't even run out yet. SD memory card slot for unlimited memory expansion. USB connection to your computer for transferring maps, waypoints and geocaches. Track your route, and then reverse it to find your way back. Includes a base map that is ok, but you can load detailed maps and driving directions with magellan software(not included). I haven't managed to get lost in the desert yet, and now I definately will not.
IPOD Video White Screen Of Death
Submitted by admin on Tue, 2005-11-22 13:38. Communications | Handheld / Small Computing DevicesJust an update to my previous IPOD REVIEW. After 4 Days, My Ipod screen was scratched and then I got what I'm going to term "The white screen of death" My IPOD has turned completely white screen, no menu, nor does any button combination work. Now it’s just a $450 paperweight. Figures. Please note that this is not after any abuse what so ever. It was never dropped, and I put it in my pocket when I was listening to it. Scratches didn't come from anything except the lint in my pocket. I went to circuit city to get a AV cable to hook it up to my TV and no luck they didn't carry it. I'm not as happy with this IPOD as I was before.
IPOD Video Reviewed.
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2005-11-21 12:19. Communications | Handheld / Small Computing DevicesThis is my review of the IPOD Video from Apple, Inc. I got online and ordered my ipod video directly from Apple's web site via a link on myspace website. I assume they get a few bucks for that. Always helps to support sites you find useful by clicking on adds on their site if your already going to buy something anyway.
When ordering, Apple gives you the option for the 30GB or the 60GB version. You get an option between white or black. You also get to engrave a custom message on the back of the ipod free of charge.
I opted to pay for the express shipping option for 10 dollars and then hit submit. 5 days later I didn't get my IPOD yet but did check my tracking info with FEDEX. They ship the IPOD video from china directly, and mine was held up in customs. There is our ever so complicated system at work. Holding every thing up again.
